-Boomerang Sky is an eclectic storm of rhythmic persuasion, playful insight, and cheeky silliness. Centered on the creative expressions of multi media artist Jo Plicata, the project is a constantly morphing presentation of earthly delights. Be it visual displays, sonic tapestries, or what have you, Boomerang Sky is sure to make you consider why you take life so seriously.

The Starlight Trio is comprised of 3 acoustic musicians who know how to cast a spell. Playing songs from 1920-1980, they will transport you to a small Paris cafe one moment, then into a New York speak easy the next. They’ll even mix a little cafe with David Bowie and the Talking Heads. Dani is known for her velvety vocals, Perry for his thrilling jazz stylings on ukulele and Miles turns up the class with his tasteful, enticing violin playing. Oysters on the half shell add on for this event

Oak Flat welcomes fiction writers Susan Solomon and Ericka Lutz for readings from their new books. Susan is the author of A Soft Landing? A Novel of Choice, Compassion, and Resistance. Ericka is the author of San Andreas: Short Fiction on Shaky Ground.

About A Soft Landing?:
An upbeat and quirky novel that carries a serious theme of female autonomy and reproductive rights as well as individual responsibility and participation in protecting those rights. Local Cuban refugee singer-songwriter Roberto “Tico” Gonzalez will join Afro-Caribbean band Polyglot in an afternoon fundraiser for Cuban families and friends . Space is limited.

Join us for an afternoon full of music, community, and great food. Local indie band Boytones is bringing together some of their favorite local musicians and DJs to celebrate the summer coming to an end.

The event will be featuring singer/songwriters Davey McSpedon, Sage Rivers, Zae Shiki, and sadboisam. Mixing will be DJs Ameer and AYOJO. Lastly, Boytones will be closing out the event with original songs and covers.
